Roseburg Country Club was founded in 1922, marking the beginning of a rich tradition of golf and community in the heart of Oregon. The club's initial vision was to create a premier golfing destination for the residents of Roseburg and the surrounding areas. A group of local enthusiasts came together to establish the club, with the first project being the construction of a nine-hole golf course. This original course was meticulously designed to take advantage of the natural landscape, providing a challenging yet enjoyable experience for golfers of all skill levels.
1922 93.3 acres of land was purchased
1923 9 holes were created, and R. W Jones designed the original Clubhouse Cost of $5300.00
1978 9 additional holes were added making RCC an 18-Hole Par 71 Golf Course
1978-79 Additional acres were purchased for a total of 152 acres Gary Roger Baird Inc. was hired to design the expanded golf course
1993 With primarily volunteer labor, a maintenance facility was constructed
1998 Golf course updated, making the course longer, several holes getting a new look, a new driving range and improving the course irrigation system Went from a Par 71 to a Par 72
2002 The swimming pool facility was added
2005 Our current clubhouse was built
