Chris Black - Chef
Chris Black was born and raised in Walla Walla Washington, a small farming town which has now transformed into wine country. After high school he worked miscellaneous food related jobs from fast food to fine dinning. What Chris really wanted to do is cook so at 34 years old he went to the Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon where he graduated with honors while working full time at Caro Amico Italian Bistro. After graduation Chris was off to Seven Feathers and the Camas Room for his Internship. When his internship was over he was hired on full time and worked in the Camas Room for 8 months. It was time to move and Chris ended up at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort for a whole 2 ½ weeks before RCC called and offered him a position. Since Chris has been here at RCC a lot of changes have been made for the better of the club. Chris strives to bring a wonderful fine dinning experience, surprising, suspenseful and electrifying but tasteful to all people of all ages.
